Support Palestine's Music Conservatory

Dear friends, I invite you to help me raise $5,000 for the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music – which has sustained music and music education in Palestine for over 30 years.
The ESNCM was founded in 1990 by Palestinian musicians dedicated to the future of folklore music, Arabic art music, and Western classical music in the region. Today, it has branches in Ramallah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nablus, and Gaza. Its programs include The Palestine National Orchestra, The Palestine Youth Orchestra, and The Gaza Orchestra. The ESNCM is home to the Gaza Music School, which it began sustaining after the school was damaged by an Israeli airstrike in 2008.
The Conservatory relies largely on donations and philanthropy, and often subsidizes tuition for students who do not otherwise have the means to pursue their dreams. Today, the ESNCM serves over 1,000 students, the majority of which are youth.
I can think of no better way to spend my birthday this month than to bring my community together in support of this wonderful, vital institution. I will personally match 50% of the donation goal if we reach it – meaning that together we can send $7,500 (or more) to the next generation of musicians committed to continuing music, art, and culture in Palestine.
