Palisades Fire: Support Hamish and Ursula

We are raising emergency funds for Hamish, Ursula and their three boys, whose lives were turned upside down when the Palisades Fire destroyed their home, their community, and the elementary school that was a cornerstone of their family’s life. This unimaginable loss happened in an instant—Hamish and Ursula had just 15 minutes to grab what they could: their dog, the family fish, a few important documents, and birthday presents for their middle son, who turns 7 tomorrow.

Ursula, a beloved kindergarten teacher at Palisades Elementary Charter School, poured her heart into her students and her own children, who attended the same school. Now, they face the possibility that the school, like their home, is gone.

Hamish and Ursula are not just kind; they’re the kind of people who make you believe in the goodness of others. They would never ask for help themselves, but they need our support now.

Everything they’ve built as a family has been reduced to ashes. Imagine starting over with nothing—no toys for the kids, no clothes, no furniture, no home.
