Palmerston Masjid Construction

Palmerston is the second largest city in Northern Territory (NT). Palmerston Mosque is the first and only Masjid for this city and the third in the entire State. The other two Darwin and Alice Springs mosques are 24 km and 1400 km from Palmerston.  Muslim families living in regional towns surrounding Palmerston need to travel 50 km or more to attend Darwin mosque.

CONSTRUCTION HAS STARTED :

-- All under-the-slab services COMPLETED

-- Full concreting for the whole SLAB up to the floor level COMPLETED

-- Block Laying for the Masjid starting from the second week of December 2022

Palmerston Mosque will offer a far closer facility. Palmerston Mosque is set to become the identity of Palmerston Muslims and cater for their religious and social needs.

Palmerston Muslims have acquired Lot 9550 from NT Government as gift.
