Pam Austin stroke recovery fund

Donation protected
My mom Pam Austin had multiple ischemic strokes Monday night, Sept 11th. With some issues on her left side, unable to move her arm, and issues with speech, she is going to have some therapy ahead of her to recover and try to get back to normal life. Right now we don't know how long that's going to take but she's a strong lady and we know she can do it ! Between her family, neighbors, co-workers she has some great support but we want to make sure she's okay financially while she takes the time to recover. We think this should cover bills and other costs while she goes through physical therapy and can help relieve the worry about anything so she can become healthy again. Anything you can give will go a long way. She's got a lot of years ahead to live and hopefully we can just call this a bump in the road. She's an amazing lady and I never knew how many people loved her until this happened. Help if you can <3

Update 9-16: she has started physical therapy. Her left arm is still not back, her left leg is pretty weak and she is having issues with her left eye. Hopefully with time she can recover some of this. Prayers please <3

Update 9-26: She's responded very very well to all the inpatient therapies. She's walking, she's getting out of bed without help, she's regaining all her strength and we think she will make a pretty decent recovery. Oct 6th is her release date, she's gonna come home with me until she can go back home. We don't know how much time she will need here, she needs help with things still, the nerves in her left arm are still not waking up yet, but those nerves need to heal still. This could be a while. All around, this is great news. She told me to tell anyone who donated "Thank you from the bottom of her heart"

Update 10-4: Mom is coming home with me Friday , she's going to need round the clock care for 4-12 months. It really depends on her success with physical therapy and her other therapies. she's got us and we will keep her motivated. If anyone can do this, she can !

Update 10-19: We've had some struggles to overcome getting used to a new lifestyle, but everything is starting to fall into place. Mom is doing great with walking and yesterday OT was here to work with her arm and we had a little movement !!! That's great news! Her walking is slowly improving, but we still have a long long road ahead of us. Will update as we go !
