Pam Floyd Funeral Expenses by Ben Floyd

Pam Floyd was an art teacher in both Richland County (Hyatt Park Elementary - 14 years) and Lexington County (Saxe Gothe Elementary, Red Bank Elementary and Carolina Springs Elementary - 18 years). Pam married Ben Floyd in 1990 (30 years ago) and between them they raised "hers, mine and ours" 4 children.
Pam suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on November 15, 2015. As a result of the stroke, Pam had to retire and be put on permanent disability. She had expressive aphasia and could not read or write, except for her name, but knew all of the 1000's of children she taught by sight. Pam was blessed in many ways as she never complained and was always had a happy soul that she tried to share with those around her.
Pam passed away, yesterday, April 8th @ 5:06PM after fighting cancer of the liver for just over 2 years.
Trying to get her funeral set-up has been extremely difficult. Met Life, who Pamela had paid for over 25 years discontinued her life insurance policy when she had to retire as it was not paid by the SC Retirement System and provided no notice given to pay the premium individually.
The funeral expenses are almost
$ 19,000 and no insurance to cover the cost.
Please help all that you can to cover these costs. The funeral is being handled by Caughman Harman Funeral Home in Lexington, SC with services and burial at Southlawn Cemetery on Old Dunbar Rd in West Columbia.
