Pamela Knapke and her family

Hi my name is Charity Klopfenstein. We were trying to avoid doing this but several people have suggested doing it. My sister Pamela Knapke was involved in a motorcycle accident on August 17, 2022. She fractured her femur bone in several places and had a rod and other hardware put in. She has to have physical therapy for it. She was careflighted to Miami Valley Hospital for 3 diseccted arteries in her neck. She still can not see out of her right eye or hear out of her right ear very much. She had head trauma with brain swelling and bleeding and multiple other facial fractures as well.

She is home from the hospital but unfortunately she has a long road ahead of her. She will be off for a couple months still at minimum. She is receiving no pay as she is only PRN at Dorothy Love and only volunteer at the rescue squad.

In addition to this horrible accident, her son, Wesley, was involved in an accident with a bb gun earlier this year which caused him to permanently lose sight in one eye as well. He has appointments for that along with doctors appointments for his other health issues. I, along with my other two sisters, are just trying to help get some money together to help cover the expenses of someone taking her to multiple appointments to lots of different doctors, her basic monthly bills, and other needs that arise while she is unable to work. Any amount will help.
