Most of you know my mom, Pamela McClure, through her work in the community with various fundraisers and charities, helping out anywhere she can. She has always had such a lovely, uplifting spirit despite her struggles with her own mental and physical health, including her battles with cancer, which she has overcome twice. My mother has dealt with plenty of hardships in her life and has always persevered, and remained positive and full of hope. Recently, she was the victim of an unwarranted, violent act of vandalism which has put a financial strain on our family. On July 7th, our neighbor came on to our property in a drunken rage and began to destroy our property and my mother’s vehicle (photos listed). Luckily, no one was hurt. But she has had a very hard time over the last week, worrying about bills and how she will pay to replace her car. Those who know her know she is a single mother on disability, therefore things are very stressful and our finances are already stretched thin. Due to Covid and her comprised immune system she is unable to work and her disability is her only source of income. This has also affected her mental health. Not only is she scared, but her yard and her garden mean so much to her. That has always been her preferred outdoor anti-depressant, and he not only destroyed so much of it, but violated what she felt was her safest place. If you are able to donate, anything is very much appreciated. If you are unable to donate (things are so tight for so many families right now, and we truly understand), please just share this post. Momma is not the type of reach out for help in this way, so my siblings and I felt called to reach out on her behalf. If you have any questions about what happened, please ask those through private messages. And of course, thoughts, prayers, and positive vibes are always welcome!
