Pamela Bennett's Warrior Fund

Pamela Bennett is the mother of two adult children, grandmother to a beautiful grandson, married to the love of her life.  Recently graduated from SEMO with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work.  She recently moved to Memphis area due to  her husband's job and to seek a job in social work to help others. 
Pam became sick in October 2015 with flu-like symptoms.  After many trips to the doctor she ended up in the ER in December 2015.   After blood work and CT scan  she was referred to an oncologist who requested more blood work, biopsies, and scans.  On January 28, 2016 Pam was given the diagnosis of Stage IV Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma (AITL).  This is a rare, aggressive (fast growing) T-cell lymphoma that accounts for 1 to 2 percent of all Non-hodgkin lymphoma cases in the United States.  Because this type of lymphoma is so rare, there has been very little research conducted and the prognosis is not good.
The oncologist that Pam is seeing is in Memphis and she is the FIRST patient he has ever treated with this type of lymphoma.  After much discussion with family and friends, Pam has decided to get a second opinion because of the rarity of this lymphoma.  MD Anderson in Houston, TX has a lymphoma center staffed with specialists who have treated this type of lymphoma and she is in the process of getting an appointment as soon as possible. 
Pam is unable to work per doctor's orders due to the physical toll her treatment is taking on her.  The out-of-pocket expenses of her medical insurance are causing a financial hardship and she very much needs our help.  Additional expenses for treatment and travel (both in Memphis and Houston) are all still to come.  Meantime, bills still have to be paid while Pam has to focus on getting well.
Any help you can give will mean so much to Pam and Bruce.  Please help any way you can so Pam can concentrate on getting WELL, so she can return to seeking a job in the social work field to HELP OTHERS.
