Pam’s Treatment Funds for Wegener’s Disease
Donation protected
Pam was admitted to the hospital August 20th with pneumonia and cellulitis. They found a mass in her lungs which was biopsied twice. The biopsy confirmed Wegener’s Autoimmune Disease. This disease is extremely rare with only 200,000 known cases. Pam was admitted to the ICU for further testing because they were unable to get her Afib under control. Doctor’s relayed to Pam that she would need to begin an extensive treatment regimen, including chemo, steroids, and immunosuppressants. She began her first 6-hour infusion on September 1st. Pam is currently a single mom, struggling to care for her own mother. Pam is unable to work due to this debilitating disease. Each chemo infusion she gets is taking a toll on her body.
Pam has always had a huge heart and cared for others, and put others first her whole life. Treatment costs are causing a significant strain on both Pam and her family. We have created this page to spread awareness about Pam’s disease. At a young age, Pam was diagnosed with a rare leg disease, lymphadema, that prevented her from doing a lot of different things growing up. She grew up having to bandage a swollen leg and walk around like that on a daily. Pam could only take the bandaging off when she was ready to sleep. Pam has never let this preexisting condition affect her or how she views life. She has pushed forward in the most positive way you can imagine. She has always been the one that brings smiles to the room. If you feel compelled to donate, the funds will go directly to Hailey and Lindsey, Pam’s daughters. We hope the donations can cover a portion of Pam’s treatment and grocery costs. If you are unable to donate, please pray for Pam and her family! God Bless.
