Panama's Emergency Colic Surgery
Donation protected
Hello, family, friends, and all of you who love animals of all sorts!
We are raising funds for an emergency colic surgery on a 7yr old Lipizzan mare (female horse) named Panama.
This evening (07/31/2023), when we got home, we arrived to see Panama in severe discomfort. After having an emergency vet out to see her, we were informed that we had two options: take Panama to Pilchuck for emergency colic surgery or wait and consider euthanasia. She was rushed to Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital.
Panama means too much to me, my mom, and our family to let her go without at least trying. Panama is only 7 years old and has a nearly 3-month-old foal (baby horse) named Anton that she is still nursing. She is much too young, much too important, and has triumphed over too many other challenges to consider euthanasia first.
We have been informed by the veterinarian at Pilchuck that she has a small bowel obstruction that requires surgery which will cost us currently, $15,000.
We know that $15,000 is a lot to ask for, so we are simply hoping that the support that we receive from our family, friends, and community is enough to cover at least some of the enormous cost of this surgery. Any amount that you can donate would mean everything! If you would like to donate directly, please contact Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing!

Much love,
Amanda, Sylvia, Henna, Panama, and Anton
