Food for health care (and support local business)

Donation protected

Our Mission
Feed overworked health care workers who are putting their lives on the line to keep San Diego safe and healthy, and at the same time support a new Azalea Park/City Heights business that  is struggling to stay afloat.

What Your Contribution Supports

Jimmy Twill (The Pizza Consultant) will continue make and donate pizzas  on a weekly basis to medical staff at local hospitals and any other health related organization (paramedic squads, fire stations, etc) that are keeping San Diego safe.   The business will also receive some much needed financial support in order to keep the lights on.

As a community, let's raise $1000 so Jimmy can continue to make donations to health care workers over the next several months as they deal with the coronavirus pandemic.  The more money we bring in, the more pizza's he can donate.

Since we started this campaign, Jimmy has made donations over the last 2 weeks to medical staff in the ER  & ICU at Scripts Mercy hospital and the ICU at Sharp Memorial Hospital.  Now we need donations for this week (4/6/2020).

The Story
We started this fundraiser after seeing a Facebook post from Jimmy Twill (The Pizza Consultant).  Jimmy had just started his own business and left his full time job behind in January.  We feared what the quarantine would do to his business, since Jimmy brings his pizza oven to  special events make pizza's on location.  Obviously, he can't do that right now.  Despite the quarantine, Jimmy  did not complain but instead got to work making and donating pizzas to health care workers in San Diego. On March 25, Jimmy made his first delivery to the medical staff at Mercy ICU, San Diego, and another delivery to an ER at another local hospital.

In Jimmy's Words
I had the idea to donate to health care workers because I know two very well locally and they both expressed the need for help of any kind. They posted that with all of the restaurants being closed they are now stuck with only the cafeteria.  Working insane hours in crazy conditions . I just imagined how nice a fresh hot wood fired pizza would be . I contacted both of the healthcare workers and both of them had family members come and pick up half a dozen pizzas and deliver them fresh and hot to the ER and the ICU.

I felt a bit helpless at first and also worried about losing my company that I just built so I decided I would do whatever I possibly could . Make Pizza.
