Pandemic Support for Janine!
JUNETEENTH UPDATE in three parts:
1) THANK YOU. The gifts and community support are amazing - $8630 raised so far!
2) I adjusted the goal to cover some surprise big-ticket expenses in my near future!

This week's had high points and low points: I emptied all of my bank accounts to deal with house stuff and cat stuff. My tiny dental fund, my tinier garden fund, and my envelope of emergency cash are depleted. The high point is that I *had* money on hand to take care of things immediately AND friends to ask for help when I came up short on the vet bill. That's no small feat! The low point is that I'm completely spent, so I'm asking for help. A lot of help - for my teeth, my vet bills, my cats, my garden, my safety, and other basic support for pandemic living. The goal is me living a safe-r life with two healthy cats, an allergen-free house, a fully functional mouth, and a food & medicine garden.
I'm getting through the pandemic with luck and resiliency and the sweet generosity of friends and family and community (and sometimes complete strangers) and instead of white-knuckling through the rest of the year, I'm asking for what I need to take care of things I can't pay for myself. Please help me raise $10,000! My last quote for dental work was about $3k, regular and specialty vet bills are $1500, and my raised bed garden expansion is $2500. The rest is for therapy (so much therapy!), a small safety net, and replacement magic: new bras, new shoes, a new-to-me nightstand, a pair of new glasses, etc.
Asking for help is hard, scary, and vulnerable, and therefore all kinds of necessary.
