Papa Nick Donn

Nick Donn or as a lot of people knew him, Papa Nick born July 21, 1958 passed away late last year on November 28th, 2022 from his battle with lung cancer. It was only a year earlier that he was first diagnosed with cancer and for that year he fought it in every way he could. He had remained quiet about it, because more than sympathy he wanted normal conversation, he couldn’t stand the thought of bringing so many people down. That’s how he always was, the greatest joys in life, was bringing joy to those who he loved most. Whether he was someone you grew up with, knew just in passing, had as a boss, or loved as a brother, father or friend, there is no doubt he made his mark in many of people throughout his time.

Papa was one of a kind, always looking out for the people he loved, he was authentic in a world that is becoming more superficial by the day. He was always worried about other people before himself, if those around him were having a good time, then he was having a good time. He was a man of many talents, was an amazing artist, a wonderful listener, a great dog trainer (any one who knew Zebop and Zeta knows that) an incredible craftsman, an honest man, an awesome coach and mentor, he could be quite the comedian as well. A real funny guy, constantly coming up with new inside jokes, at times just a weird sound or funny way of saying something. But I think most would agree if he could pick only one thing above all the others, he was PAPA. And he was the best papa we could have ask for, not only to his children and grandchildren but to anyone who was in need of a Papa. Buhhhhh!!!

It is in hopes of giving him a proper farewell and a final event to share stories and smiles that we are asking for help from any one who can. Donations are going towards the funeral services, a ceremony to celebrate his life, helping us close out his estate and sort out his belongings, and unforeseen costs. Announcement of a time and place for the celebration of life will be posted on here and facebook as soon as we can get a time and date that works for everyone.
