Support spay and neuter in Bocas Del Toro, Panama
Donation protected
Our goal is set to $1 since this is an ongoing campaign that will go on for many years.
Papá Gato, or “Cat Dad” in English, was founded 2 years ago during the height of the pandemic. While the stray animal population has always been a problem in Bocas del Toro, this became especially apparent during the pandemic. 2 years later, what started as one man’s vision to solve the stray animal problem has become a fully-functioning, permanent spay and neuter clinic.
In addition to spay and neuter clinics, our organization also helps injured wildlife and provides basic veterinary care for stray animals and pets of low-income families. This year, we started doing a weekly clinic in addition to our larger spay and neuter clinics so that low-income families have consistent access to veterinary care. We often host vets from all over the world to help with our clinics and we provide wonderful learning opportunities for veterinary students.
We have helped over 1,000 animals in the last 2 years, and with your support we hope to double that this year. Every dime you donate goes directly to helping animals. We are staffed by volunteers and our administration and founder do not receive a profit. Money will sometimes go to paying veterinarians and medical support staff in order to maintain the high quality of veterinary care we provide.
Any donation large or small is appreciated. Our hard-working volunteers and the animals of Bocas thank you for your support.
