papaw Steve McQueen donations for his funeral cost.

Hello, my name is Shannon Kirby. I am raising money for my grandma Patty Gibbs to be able to send her husband Steve McQueen off with a home going Papaw Steve deserves. The leftover money will go to the two boys that Steve and Patty are raising (9&19).
Ten days ago, my Papaw was admitted to the hospital at Atrium Medical Center. The next day, the doctors sedated him and said his heart was almost about to stop and he was in kidney failure and heart failure. They had him on a ventilator, and medication to help make his heart beat. He was asleep for about 2 days, no movement, no communication. He finally woke up and was barely able to talk. He knew he was dying. He wanted the help to make him better. But the doctors said he wouldn't get any better because the heart wasn't pumping as it should. He was already in a fib. All his organs were shutting down slowly but surely. On the 3rd & 4th of July, he was up talking and being Steve. He told everyone he loved them. He told the doctors he doesn't want to be in pain anymore. And he wants to go out with a boom. The doctors took him off the medicine that was helping with his heart. They did all they could do. For 9 days, my Papaw laid there in pain and fought all those days. The doctors even were surprised he made it this long. He waited until all the grand and great-grandchildren came to say goodbye. His wife, mother, sisters, brother, and friends came. He knew he was ready to be called home. As much as Steve didn't want to leave his life, wife, and kids. We knew Papaw was ready to be pain-free. He's been dealing with health issues for a long time. &( if you know Papaw, you know he hated doctors and never wanted to go.)
Please pray for my family at this time & for a long time. My grandma just buried her son in 2013, my Papaw was the one helping my grandma all these years to stay alive. And now her & those boys are about to bury him.
Papaw Steve, I know you're looking down on all of us. & I've always told you I got you... we're a family. We have friends and supporters. We will get through every battle thrown at us. Until we meet again. Rest in peace, Steve McQueen!! (not the actor) he wished though.
