Paperboy - A relief fund, and a party
Donation protected
To our friends, neighbors and supporters,
This week we made the unimaginable decision to lay off our entire team. These are friends and coworkers. They are the hardest working people I know. Early on we thought it might be possible to weather the COVID-19 fallout, but it's become clear in recent days that trying to stay open and fight through would only hurt our team more in the long-run. We did not want to put their health at risk or delay their chance to collect either unemployment or figure out a new and temporary solution.
We've spent the last 5 years building Paperboy into what it is today, and our team is its lifeblood. In less than a month, we were scheduled to open our new brick and mortar restaurant - something that's been several years in the making and something that we can't wait to share with everyone hopefully sooner rather than later.
While that process will most certainly be delayed, we remain abundantly hopeful for the day we'll open those doors. Our team is in contact almost daily, waiting with optimism for the opportunity to get back to work together again.
While the wheels of government turn and hopefully offer some support, we're asking for help from our friends as well. We've set up this fund to support our team. Every dollar raised in this campaign will go directly to our team and help them get through this unprecedented time. Our industry has been hit about as hard as any, with many restaurants around the country shuttering their doors.
I know that not everyone is in a position to give at this time. If you are so willing, our team would be grateful. There are two options to help. The first is to donate any amount that you're able. The second is to donate $100 that will give you access to a grand opening party when Paperboy's brick and mortar opens its doors (as soon as we can!). The first 100 donations of $100 or more will recieve a ticket to the party. We will have a full bar with signature cocktails and all the food, drinks, swag and surprises you could ask for to celebrate getting on the other side of this.
We're so grateful for all the wonderful folks that have ever been to Paperboy and all the ones we will meet in the future!
Peace and Love,
Ryan Harms
