PARAKLETOS is study of people, personality and situations explored through fine art and an intuitive representation of individuals. We offer powerful insight into taboo emotional situations in order to connect one human to another and to establish deep bonds that too often go repressed and unnoticed.
We are taking on a huge task, financially and culturally. So, please, HELP US TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH.
Let's make a change. It is desperately needed.
In addition to the portraits we are also making old hats into works of art, so that everyone can afford to be a part of PARAKLETOS, but in order to do this we need as many baseball caps as we can get! So please, contact us if you have any hats lying around.
WHERE IS YOUR MONEY GOING?
Any donation makes a difference. Even if you can only afford to donate two dollars, that is enough for us to buy thread to make the hats, five dollars will buy us palette paper, and fifteen dollars is enough to buy a stretched canvas for one of the portraits.
If you would rather help directly, there is A LOT that you can do. We are also creating art out of old clothing to go along with each of the portraits and we need:
4 Denim jackets
1 Basketball
4 T-shirts
3 pairs of shoes
1 Sweatshirt
1 Dress
1 Purse
We would also love your help with the actual event! We need venues, DJs or musicians and food and drink sponsors in Los Angeles and New York. If you could offer any of these services please get in touch with us!
