Equipamiento para niños con Parálisis Cerebral

¡Hola!

Me llamo Azahara y soy la madre de unos preciosos niños mellizos de 3 años: Leo y Noah. Fueron prematuros y estuvieron 2 semanas en la UCI. Al salir, nuestra pediatra derivó a Leo a Atención Temprana (ya que fue el que más sufrió en el parto) y, gracias a la detección precoz, nos informaron a los 6 meses de que Leo tenía un tipo de Parálisis Cerebral que le afectaría para siempre a nivel motor en todos sus miembros (concretamente Tetraparesia Espástica).

Desde entonces, hemos estado trabajando mucho con ayuda de fisioterapeutas profesionales para que Leo tenga una vida feliz y lo más independiente posible. Sabemos que es un camino largo y duro, pero Leo es un campeón que ha superado ya muchos hitos. Y, como bien dice mi marido, lo mejor de Leo está por llegar.

Nosotros somos afortunados y podemos ofrecerle a Leo todo lo que necesita, pero no todas las familias que se encuentran en esta misma situación tienen esa suerte. Por eso lanzo esta campaña, para poder recaudar donaciones para AMAPPACE. La Asociación de Parálisis Cerebral de Málaga a la que Leo acude 2 veces en semanas desde que tiene cuatro meses.

En la Asociación cuentan con grandes profesionales que tratan a los niños con mucho amor y cariño, sin embargo sus instalaciones actuales presentan limitaciones que dificultan su trabajo y limitan las oportunidades de los niños.

La Atención Temprana es fundamental para el desarrollo de niños y niñas con parálisis cerebral. A través de terapias especializadas, actividades educativas y apoyo emocional, se les brinda las herramientas necesarias para que alcancen su máximo potencial y mejoren su calidad de vida.

El objetivo con esta campaña es recaudar una donación que les permita adquirir una grúa infantil y una cinta andadora adaptada (concretamente una LiteGait 100). El precio final que hemos conseguido negociar es de 10.000€. Con esto, los niños con dificultades motoras, podrán practicar la marcha y mejorar su calidad de vida.

Hello!

My name is Azahara and I am the mother of two 3-year-old amazing twin boys: Leo and Noah. They were premature and spent 2 weeks in the ICU. Upon leaving, our pediatrician referred Leo to Early Care (since he was the one who suffered the most in childbirth) and, thanks to early detection, we were informed after 6 months that Leo had a type of Cerebral Palsy that would affect him forever at a motor level in all its members (specifically called Spastic Tetraparesis).

Since then, we have been working hard with the help of professional physiotherapists so that Leo has a happy and independent life. We know it's a long and hard road, but Leo is strong and smar and has already passed many milestones. And, as my husband rightly says, the best of Leo is yet to come.

We are lucky because we can offer Leo everything he needs, but not all families in this same situation are so lucky. That's why I launch this campaign, to be able to collect donations for AMAPPACE. The Malaga Cerebral Palsy Association, which Leo has attended twice a week since he was four months old.

In the Association they have great professionals who treat children with a lot of love and affection, however their current facilities have limitations that make their work difficult and limit the opportunities for children.

Early Attention is essential for the development of children with cerebral palsy. Through specialized therapies, educational activities and emotional support, they are given the necessary tools to reach their full potential and improve their quality of life.

The objective with this campaign is to raise a donation that allows them to purchase a children's crane and an adapted treadmill (specifically a LiteGait 100). The final price that we have managed to negotiate is €10,000. With this, children with motor difficulties will be able to practice walking and improve their quality of life.
