Paraplegic Matthew to get wheelchair vehicle
Donation protected
Last year during the covid my beautiful 68 yr old father, was miss diagnosed with a hematoma clot in his spine. After the hospital had operated he became paralyzed up to his chest. Because of the cost of equipment, nursing, physio, infections my mum was unable to bring him home.
On top he was continuously locked down in this nursing home ineligible by 3 yrs.. for government funding NDIS. Slight signs of Alzheimer's makes it all so much harder too.
I have moved from Vic to Qld to help be carer support for my mum Judy who spend 4hrs a day with dad in nursing home. They often wait hours for a taxi for his only weekly relief of physio. He keeps fighting and has moved he his toes. But the depression of sitting all day in this aged care home, in alot of pain, and so so sad.
We want to bring him home. He is one of the kindest people I know, he's always supported and donated to needy causes. Now he is the one in need. Please from the bottom of my heart help us to buy a wheelchair van, to support getting dad home, to be with his loving wife and and kids and granddaughter, So he can once again enjoy his own surrounding s and cooking chatting with locals his loving family. It's not much but we need to give him some hope and releif after the worst year of our lives. Tears, we would be forever greatfull to those who can afford to help and donate. Just a vehicle to drive to doctors, physio, and occasionally a family dinner. I pray may all that show support be blessed back, this will greatly help with just some of these huge expenses, ie. Nursing, equipment, home modifactions, will consume the amount government funds allocated, per year. Also I hope to become a registered nurse.. study this year. Realising what a difference it can make in lives of those who suffer so much. May God bless you all. Xo his living daughter Mia
