My Parents House Flooded

About two weeks ago as my Mom and Dad were sleeping, one of the water lines in the upstairs of their home burst and poured out a steady flow of water for hours. The water covered half of the upstairs and filled up the entire downstairs of the house. Over eight inches of water was standing in their home. Ceilings caved in. Walls came down. Countless family memories and photos and heirlooms, gone. There was so much furniture and clothing and personal items that were lost. It really is far too much to go into here, but good thing is, nothing bad happened to them physically. That is the true blessing so I’m very thankful of that!! Mentally and emotionally it has been another story. My folks have been displaced from their home for an undisclosed amount of time. Things are being gutted and thrown out. They are having issues of finding contractors and people to even continue the work. It is unsure as to what all insurance is going to cover, at this point. The reason I am making this gofundme page is because the main source of my parents’ livelihood comes from doing child care in their home. As you can imagine, it goes without saying that their income has taken a massive hit. For now, they are in need of a great deal of assistance in dealing with preliminary matters in the home that they don’t have the money to pay up front, and also daily things that people need. I’ll be going back down to lend a helping hand and support, but I am calling on my friends and chosen family, once again, to please help intervene in this situation. Any single dollar and positive thought and prayer and love you can send their way, I will be forever grateful for.
