Park bench in loving memory of Carmen Simion

When Carmen passed away, we thought of how best we could commemorate her. Passionate lover of nature, Carmen often found peace in her endless walks in the city parks and forest trails. She loved hiking along the shores and in the mountains while immersing herself in the beauty of the ocean songs, forest silence, sunrise and sunset lights, eternal grace of nature.

The money raised here will go in January to Burnaby Parks to dedicate a bench in Carmen's memory, hopefully by the ocean, surrounded by the nature that she adored. Eugen will keep you all informed with the location and date of installation. We hope to see each other there often and send good thoughts to Carmen, shed a tear, share memories, bring back good times, meditate, remember all that made Carmen into such a special person, look at the sky and the trees and the flowers, and at all that make us timeless. Thank you!

Note: we are humbled by your incredible generosity, which shows how much Carmen meant to all of us, her friends and relatives. In lieu of cut flowers, the bench will be something so much more permanent. If donations go over the actual cost (estimated $3.5-4.5k), any amount not used will be donated by Eugen to BC Cancer Foundation on behalf of "Friends of Carmen".
