Support Pablo’s Family and Community After Devastating Floods in Spain - The Tragedy is already Spain's Worst Flood Related Disaster in Modern History.
My son, Jansen, and I are reaching out on behalf of his best friend, Pablo Chinchilla, a foreign exchange student from Alfafar, Spain, who attended Park City High School. During his time here, Pablo quickly became a cherished friend to so many in the Park City community. His kindness, warmth, and generosity left an unforgettable mark on our lives.
Last year, Jansen and several friends had the chance to visit Pablo in his hometown of Spain. The Chinchilla family welcomed them with open arms, treating them as their own. Pablo’s family is one of the most loving, giving, and compassionate families we have ever met, and we were truly grateful for their hospitality and kindness.
Tragically, Alfafar and surrounding areas have recently been struck by a horrific flood disaster. The Chinchilla family’s home has been devastated, and they now face the overwhelming task of rebuilding amidst unimaginable loss. Hundreds in their community have lost their lives, and countless others are grappling with the destruction of their homes and livelihoods.
We know many in Park City remember Pablo and the warmth he brought into our lives. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him and his family. Together, let’s extend a helping hand to support this incredible family and their community as they work to rebuild after this tragedy.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for standing with us in solidarity for Pablo’s family and for Alfafar Spain. All funds will be going directly to the Maria dolores david Blanch (Pablo’s Mother) for the Chinchilla family and the people of the Alfafar community. On behalf of Jansen and I, we Thank You from the bottom of our hearts!
