Park Restoration

Donation protected
Dear Potential donor,
The Forest Ave Renewal Project is asking for donations to help restore the Forest Ave Wetland Park in Mount Healthy, Ohio. This park has a lot of interesting history for Mount Healthy and the Cincinnati area. At one point a brick factory stood on the grounds, and bricks made there were used to construct many buildings in Mount Healthy and the Cincinnati area, such as Northside.
The park, as in its name is an almost fully wetlands habitat, with a grassy open recreational area in the front, with a shelter, children's play gym, grills and benches throughout the park and trails. Unfortunately, the park has fallen into disrepair since its construction in the 1990s. Funds are needed for:
  • Replacement of old and worn-out infrastructure
  • Removal of Invasives such as honeysuckle, winter creeper, and lesser celandine and the resources required in that (Chainsaws, woodchippers, etc & their ongoing maintenance.)
  • A continued effort to restore the natural habitat that has been lost, by working to bring back native plants and wildlife to the park
  • Needed Trail construction and maintenance
  • Park amenities such as trail markers and informational signage
Information about the work we've been doing and what we plan for the future is available on our Facebook page, or via email where we're happy to answer any questions.
Best Regards,
Aaron
