Park Theatre 10th Anniversary Appeal

Happy 10th Birthday Park Theatre!

So much has been achieved and so much has changed in the ten years since we opened. In our Five Year Review we reflected on the transformation of Finsbury Park and our part in that; back then we could never have foreseen an M&S on our doorstep! Nor could we have imagined that for 18months our stages would be dark while the team was stuck at home on Zoom missing each other and missing that connection to live performance.

We have, however, realised many of the ambitions we set out in our plans five years ago and, in a lot of ways, we are stronger in spite of the difficulties thrust upon us in the last few years.

We are producing and co-producing more productions than we envisaged at this stage, allowing us to set the tone for the venue and develop new, more representative audiences, work with the best creative talent, and benefit financially when sales are good.

Our Community Engagement work has expanded and shifted focus to more directly meet the needs of our neighbours. We now regularly engage five care homes with our Dementia-therapy sessions and have formed partnerships with London-wide SEN specialists, ensuring that all ages and abilities can participate and feel welcome at Park Theatre.

The Park Theatre core team has almost doubled in five years, reflecting the ambition of our programming, the professionalism of our operations and a fantastic working culture which makes people want to join us.

None of this would have been possible without our generous donors who have given us the means and morale to navigate choppy waters. Nor would we be here without our dedicated staff team, past and present, who go way beyond their duties to ensure we offer the best possible experience to audiences and artists alike.
