Honoring the Memory of Parker Duesterhaus
It is with heavy hearts that we remember the vibrant life of Parker Duesterhaus, who left an indelible mark on all of our lives. Parker's journey as an incredible artist and a cherished friend was tragically cut short, but his legacy of creativity, camaraderie, and courage will forever resonate in our hearts.
Parker's pursuit of artistic excellence led him to the University of Minnesota, where he studied art and honed his incredible talent. His countless sketches and drawings bore witness to his passion and dedication to his craft. For those of us that were lucky enough to know Parker well, we were consistently captivated by his incredible imagination and creativity.
Parker was a beacon of fun, caring, and selflessness. His trustworthy and dependable nature made him a rock for his friends and family. He was the go-to host for all of his friends (The Buddos) in the Twin Cities and made you feel right at home, regardless of how long he knew you.
His presence illuminated every room he entered, his laughter infectious and his kindness felt by all. Parker went out of his way to make you feel comfortable in your own skin and provide the support you needed to be your true self. He would encourage you to pursue your dreams and do everything in his power to lift you when you felt down.
During challenging times, Parker's spirit of togetherness endured. He orchestrated gaming sessions, bringing his friends closer during the isolation of the pandemic. His love for games, including Among Us, acted as a lifeline for his friend group, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie despite physical separation.
Parker's love for adventure extended beyond his art; he was a skilled dungeon master, weaving tales of fantasy for countless D&D campaigns, starting in High School. He was a movie enthusiast, particularly fond of the Mission Impossible franchise, and his love for film extended to sharing countless movie nights with the Buddos. His desire to be there for his friends led him on road trips across the country, turning simple journeys into memorable adventures.
Parker's legacy is carried on by his sister Kenady, his brother Jared, his mother Susan, and his father Jonathan. In this time of remembrance, may their memories of Parker bring them comfort and strength as they navigate the profound loss of their beloved son and sibling.
His laughter, his kindness, his selflessness, and his friendship will forever echo in our memories.
We're going to miss you Buddo and we love you.
Rest in Peace Parks.
