Parker & Abbey Gates Vet bills

Donation protected
After getting the heartbreaking news tonight of a rapidly forming tumor in our beloved 11 year old male Vizsla Parker, our Vet made a special exception to do a very serious surgery into an already booked schedule to remove the tumor and hopefully get clear margins. The tumor is on the left side of his neck and has grown to almost the size of a baseball in less than a week. We noticed he scratched it open with his back leg and it started to bleed and grow in over 3 times it's size in a matter of a few days. Everyone that knows Parker or us, know how much we love him and his little Vizsla sister Abbey. We have major bond that only animal lovers would understand and Vizsla owners even more so. I made the very difficult decision to start this GoFundMe page for him to help pay for his surgery and follow ups. We do not know yet of any prognosis or what exactly the tumor is until after it is removed, though our Vet of many years Dr Lori Nordt at Atantic Animal Health Center is hopeful she will be able to sucessfully get clear margins.
Any and every donation to our sweet Parker pup is very much appreciated and ALL funds will be used for his surgery and follow up medical care. His sister Abbey is concerned as much as we are as she knows something is up and has been licking his tumor area and staying by his side. We are doing our very best to keep him comfortable and getting him to eat what little bit he will, with many sleepless nights for all of us over the last week. We just celebrated Parker's 11th birthday on 11/25/20, though this tumor is bothering him, he  still has been enjoying his daily trips to his favorite fields for off leash runs with his sister. I wish I could give just portion of the amazing unconditional love these amazing animals offer us each day waiting patiently for us to arrive at home from a bad day at work with their tails wagging, no strings attached! No petty BS, No politics, No hatred, No jealousy (maybe only when we show loving to Abbey lol) I can not bear the thought to not be able to help my little best buddy out the best I can. You will never here anyone in this house use the phrase "just a dog".
I would not consider the person that coined that phrase a friend, and they must have lonely heart.  Parker is family, and we are asking our friends and neighbors for help  to save one of our own family. God bless our Parker Pup please keep him in your thoughts and prayers regardless if you can donate or not.
Merry Christmas,
Thank you, and God Bless.

Update; 5/2/21

On April 30th 2021 we had to rush our Parker's little Vizsla sister Abbey to the emergency Vet inbIslen, NJ to have fluid removed from her chest, this was the second time since Feb we had to do this. They believed it could have been lymphoma causing it. She was being treated with steroids, ulcer meds, and anti-nausia meds as well. What we thought would be a routine procedure ended up being a disaster. As she was recovering she apparently passed away. I was devastated when the doctor came out to tell me. I struggled to make the 1.5 hour drive home. When I did get home (after dropping our little girl off for cremation) Parker, who was not doing well, looked all over fir her. He was frantic. This broke my heart even more.  He was throwing up and had terrible diarrhea leading up to Abbey getting sick. We had two very sick pups at the same time. Both with two different types of cancer. 2 days later, Parker is still very sick and still will not eat and he has terrible trembling incidents in the middle of the night and we hold him to get him calmed down. It was getting worse so we had no choice but to call his Vet and have her come to our house. Parker was laid to rest at approximately 2:15pm on May 2nd, 2021. Abbey was at about 11:30am April 30th 2021. It was the hardest thing I think we will ever do in our life. He was happy and wagging his tail as my mom came over and Dr Nordt arrived as well. It was a beautiful sunny day and the birds were singing. Our family will never forget our Abbey girl and Parker pup. We hope to meet again some day. Abbey girl, please look after your big brother as you did down here as you cross the rainbow Bridge. .

Anyone that can help with the financial burden our beloved Parker & Abbey have left, we truly appreciate it.
