Debi Hayes and Parker Hayes

Deborah Barnett Hayes passed away 4/22/23 just 5 weeks after losing her (and Jim’s) youngest son, Parker Hayes suddenly and unexpectedly. Debi had been battling cancer and was awaiting strengthening enough for surgery. Between the two passings, Jim was admitted to the hospital and required serious intestinal surgery. The family has endured a terrible few months and a particularly painful last month.

Jim and Debi are active members of Living Word Lutheran Church and Debi was an Educational Specialist for years with the Johnson City School System and Science Hill High School. We are asking the community at large to help with the enormous medical and funeral expenses facing the Hayes family at this time. Any amount is appreciated and will go 100% toward these expenses.
