Dear Kairos & Buckingham (BCCA) Families,

Early this morning, we were notified of the death of a former student of ours at Kairos Public Schools. This student was a 9th grader at a local VUSD High School, BCCA.

We have mobilized a Crisis Response team on campus today. They are available to meet with students and staff. We believe due to the age of the student, this will primarily impact our Leadership Academy scholars. However, this student was at Kairos Public Schools for 9 years and our staff is mourning as well. Parker was attending BCCA for his Freshman year in high school.

Team members will provide support and counseling for students, parents, teachers, staff and community members for as long as is needed.

Information is circulating quickly around campus this morning and we want our entire community to know in order to prevent false information from circulating.
