"It's cancer." I will never forget those words. You never expect anything like that to happen to your 9 month old.
Bilateral Retinoblastoma is what my sweet little baby is fighting. They graded his tumors from A to E, A being the best case and E being the worse. In Parker's left eye he has a completely detached retina and a grade E tumor. In his right eye a grade B tumor. Not good news, but we are ready to fight this! I can't believe how fast life can change. But let me tell you, in those 24 hours we have felt the overwhelming power of our Lord and the overwhelming love from our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our sweet boy will start Chemo Thursday and then Radiation after the tumors are small enough. Ryan, Parker, myself, and our whole families are more grateful than you will ever know for the love and support from everyone. Our little man is a fighter and our God is greater, our God is stronger and our God is higher than ANY other!! We love you all and thank you for loving us and praying with and for us! #prayingforparker
We will now have to worry about paying for Parker's treatments as well as for someone to come to our home everyday to watch Parker while mom and dad work. Because chemotherapy reduces the immune system, he can't be around children who are sick or a ton of germs. We appreciate you all.
