Parkerville fire home lost Christmas 2023

Hi, my friends around the world have asked me to get this page happening so we can receive donations following our family tragedy of losing our home to a fast burning fire. 

The fire started only about 100m from our home and was caused by a tree branch falling on powerlines in the same spot where a fire started previously for similar reasons.

 Only three homes were lost, thank goodness no people. It could have been a tragedy.

 We have lost absolutely everything but the caravan so at least we have a place to live and we are so incredibly grateful for the small things.

We were building our little sanctuary at this house, the wildlife loved us and we loved them. I’m saddest of all for all the little creatures that had no hope. I hope to rebuild a garden with even better homes for our native animals, who we had become so attached to. It certainly has been a different Christmas this year!
