Parkinson's Bike Ride
Over the 29th and the 30th of June I will be cycling the length of the Trent and Mersey Canal (150km) to raise money for Parkinson's UK. This is a charity close to my heart as I lost my Grandad in March and he battled with Parkinson's. My Grandad loved the canal and I have many happy memories with him on his canal boat.
Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition meaning that it causes problems in the brain and causes problems with movement. There is currently no cure for Parkinson's but donations help fund research into cures and treatments as well as providing support and care to those with Parkinson's and their families.
As well as raising money for the charity I also want to raise awareness about the disease so please look at the link to find out more information about what Parkinson's is. https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/information-and-support/what-parkinsons
As a result of current social distancing rules I have decided to cycle the distance at home on an exercise bike.
If you would like to make a donation I would be very grateful.
Thank you.
