Parks-Weekly Adoption

When we met 10 years ago, we both had one deal breaker in common, having a child/children was a must! After a failed potential kinship adoption, and 6 years of off-and-on foster parenting, this is our opportunity to expand our family! As a gay couple who married before marriage equality passed (2015), we have three (3) wedding/marriage dates--the day we exchanged rings and committed to each other, our wedding day in front of family, friends & our church family, and our legal marriage date, when we drove 4 hours to Iowa to get married in a courthouse. Ours has been a story of hurdles and hoops, but just like all the others, we know that with the continued love and support of family, friends and our amazing community, we can achieve this dream as well!

We are fortunate to have supportive family members on both sides, great friends, a loving church family, and an awesome community! With you, this child will have the safe and caring environment they deserve--a true village!

Unfortunately, adoption is a very expensive process. There are agency fees, legal costs, home study fees, travel expenses, etc. We desire to be a blessing in this child's life without it meaning that we have to drown in a pool of financial obligations in the process. This is where you, our community, come in. Any financial support you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
