Parkway Plays for Peace
Tax deductible
Parkway Center City Middle College students, Jaden Burnett and Frank Gillis-Corbitt, have planned an anti-violence basketball tournament for November 25th. Students will play a game against a team of police officers from the Ninth District.
These young men dream of a less violent city, and they know one way forward is by building bonds with the police. They also know that Philadelphia is a city full of grieving children. To support those children, students are raising funds during the tournament for our partners at "Moms Bonded by Grief". These mothers are planning to provide holiday gifts for children who have lost parents or siblings to homicide.
