Parlett Place Black Cat Update

Hi All, the eight cats we have had fixed have recovered well from their surgeries and can be seen frolicking in the sun (when it’s out) chasing bugs and each other around the neighborhood.

Thank you again for your help and continuing support for our local cat community. It is incumbent on us to support them now with food and water. They are our continuing defense, protecting the neighborhood from new stray cats looking to move into new territory. If you do decide to address their basic needs, please use commercially available dry cat food. Once you start, please do not stop feeding them.

Thank you once again, Robin & L.T.

Hello North De Anza Boulevard neighbors and friends,

This fundraising event is dedicated to defraying the cost to support our local stray cat population. We will accomplish this by trapping, neutering and releasing the stray cats back to their local environment. The funds will be used for veterinary services as well as trap and release costs. We currently have 8 adult cats and based on current behavior, more to come soon!

Due to limited veterinary services, both public and private, the cost to spay a female cat, if available, is ~$700 including health assessment, various drugs/vaccinations and surgery. Approximately $400 for a male cat. The cost for euthanasia, which we are trying to avoid, is ~$285, and will only be performed by our veterinarian if medically necessary.

To ensure the cats' long-term health and well-being along with protecting the health and wellness of our families and pets please donate.

Parlett Place Cat Wranglers - Update

We have successfully captured all eight feral cats over a period of two days, three in the first hour. All cats, five females and three males, have been spayed/neutered, are currently recuperating, and will be released back into their home environment after an additional day or two of rest (at the spa).

Thank you all for your donations. 100% of your donations will be spent caring for the welfare of these community cats. We are currently a little short of our goal. Please donate.
