On September 21, Dean and I will celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. It has been an adventure in many different ways. One of those adventures has come through trying to start a family. Those of you who know a little bit about us know we have struggled with infertility for the past 3 years. September 2017, after several failed attempts, we clearly heard God say those words no one wants to hear: Be still and wait.
So we did. Through the winter God began to slowly reveal His plan in how He wanted to grow our family. After grieving the loss of laying aside our dreams to have a child naturally, we joyfully began to understand how amazing adoption is and how so many lives are touched through the adoption of one child! Today we are genuinely excited to grow our family in such a special and unique way. Adoption is not plan B or second fiddle. Adoption is and always has been God’s plan A for our family. We are looking forward to the day when a little infant will be put in our arms in becoming a Parlin.
We are working with an adoption agency named Gladney. For those of you who don’t know, adoption is an expensive endeavor. However we know if God has called us to this, He is going to provide. Simply by reading this, you are now a part of our journey in adopting! We would love your prayers as this is a faith building - patience growing process. Whenever you see us, please ask us how the process is going and ask how you can be praying. We would also love it if you are able to give.
