Benen Parlmers (Parmashocka's) Road To Worlds!

Hello everyone!

My name is Benen Parlmer and I am starting this GoFundMe for a chance to make my dreams come true! On March 4th and 5th, I competed in my first competition which was the 2023 USA Paraclimbing National Championship. In the competition, I unexpectedly placed in the top three of my category giving me the amazing opportunity to compete in the 2023 Paracliming World Championship in Bern, Switzerland.

Because the competition is out of the country and I am paying out of pocket, I am hoping for external support to help assist me. Money will go towards registration, transportation, lodging, food, training, and other miscellaneous costs that will arise. If I was to exceed the goal of this fundraiser, any excess money will go towards other competitions.

Since I started climbing, about 4 years ago, it has been one of the largest passions that I have consistently pursued in life. One of the biggest reasons why my passion for climbing is so immense is the constant struggle and perseverance required for the sport. I am missing my middle finger and most of the fingers on my right hand, which gives me unique and interesting challenges for the sport. Because of these unique challenges, it became a dream of mine to very quickly make it to the top, compete around the world, and turn my hobby into a career. Now that dream can become my reality through this competition and the world it will open up for me. However, I know that this opportunity comes with a requirement of hard work and constant effort. This is why I am spending most of my time these next five months rigorously training, to get as far as I possibly can, to do well, and to continue down this path.
