Alan Parry Family

On Sunday, January 19, Alan was on a job site in Salem, Missouri, and was doing tie downs on top of an 8' high retaining wall. As he went to turn from a standing position (which makes height total closer to 14'), his boot got stuck and he crashed to the ground, hitting his head and hip. He underwent surgery for full hip replacement on the 21st, and how he was able to escape a potentially deadly fall with only severely breaking the femoral neck and down the femur is completely astounding. I know he had the Lord watching over him Sunday, just as he has every day of his life for 54 years. It's only by God's grace he only had a badly broken hip. We appreciate all of your prayers and please continue to pray for him and our family, because this will be a long road of recovery and some big adjustments. I know he's going to be OK and we will be OK, but the stress of all this for the next while is what he's most concerned about. Alan has come through surgery like a champ and does have a very long road of recovery ahead of him. He is going to require 24 hour care for 3-4 weeks and about 4 months before he's able to return to work.  We have been without Alan’s income since January 19, as well as mine, as I had to step away to be his sole caregiver while he heals. According to his surgeon last week, he still has approximately 3 months left at this point before he will be able to return to work, and up to a year before he will be and feel fully recovered. Unfortunately, this happened right at the same time we had no financial cushion, savings, or medical insurance on Alan. We humbly ask you to please pray for his recovery, his broken spirit, for God to provide for our daily living needs, and our teenage daughters who are so very worried about their daddy.
