Parvo Virus Outbreak - Dire Wolf Project

DireWolf Dogs of Vallecito, LLC , the second Dire Wolf Project  breeding site, is working diligently to breed healthy, long-lived dogs that are devoted to their family, have the intuition to understand human emotion, and possess the look of the extinct, prehistoric Dire Wolf using only domesticated dogs. They have been working to advance the American Alsatian dog breed for over 10 years.

On May 25, 2019, DireWolf Dogs of Vallecito, LLC was suddenly inundated with the Parvo virus. Despite all adult dogs having been vaccinated, one pregnant female, Lotus (Grinch/Shennara), died overnight due to the insidious nature of the virus and an entire litter was wiped out with her in 24 hours.

Now, the Dire Wolf Project site has been exposed to this deadly virus attack and the current litter of 5 week old puppies has now come down with the tragic first signs.

After a third desperate vet visit and over $1000 spent in three days, it is unmistakable that Parvo has reared up to infect another litter of nine puppies. DireWolf Dogs of Vallecito, LLC is desperately working to keep all of the puppies hydrated, medicated, clean, and well, but may now be facing vet costs well above what can be afforded.

Countless lives have already been lost! Please help DireWolf Dogs of Vallecito, LLC with the ability to do whatever it takes to save the rest of the dogs from succumbing to this hideous viral attack and keep the American Alsatian dog breed from losing precious genetic diversity.
