My name is Kat and I’m the local shopkeeper across the road from Pascal. Pascal and I met about 5 years ago and Pascal has been a loyal customer and now a very wonderful friend. Pascal unfortunately doesn’t keep very well which isn’t something he likes to share but unfortunately due to this he cannot work. As everyone who knows Pascal knows he had a companion called Scout who unfortunately was ill himself as a pup and very sadly passed away. Due to various factors Pascal has struggled to rehome another pet and doesn’t have the funds to buy. But that is not what I am asking today. As a means of dealing with the grief of losing Scout, Pascal took his love of photography and dogs and has been working for free amongst the community on the days he has felt well enough to capture beautiful pictures of owners beloved pets. It has been something that has become a bit of a popular sensation and Pascal has had many offers of cash but he has refused to take a penny as he is just doing it because he wants to. For everyone on Pascal’s fb you will have seen that unfortunately he had an accident with his camera today and you can see just how cut up he is. He feels like he has let people down by not being able to show up and take the pictures he promised he would. But I have not started this GoFundMe page for that reason. I have started it because it is nice to see Pascal manage to get out of bed on a day. He has grown confidence speaking to people. Due to sensory issues he doesn’t like to be out and about. The sound and the lights. Some days are harder than others. But he has persevered. So I am asking for those who did want to offer something to Pascal or who are friends of Pascal to please give him something towards a new one, maybe in time for Christmas :) I had to hazard a guess at how much he would need as he will go daft at this but anything over the cost of the camera I would like to go towards the cost of a new companion for him.
