Pass That Greene - July Plant Swap

During the summer months, we make time to celebrate the abundance of the Black community that comes with returning to the land and each other after a harsh winter indoors. This July 4th, the Greene Clothe Collective, and our amazing community partners will be curating a joyous space for community building, green space appreciation, and knowledge transfer with one of our infamous plant swaps! On a day often dedicated to the State, we hope to focus our love, energy, and celebration on the land and those of us who create with it. Will you join us?

Greene Clothe is a Black eco-feminist lifestyle collective with a focus on food activism (food sovereignty & insecurity) as it affects marginalized communities. By using food as a focal point we aim to re-imagine & re-create affordable, passionate experiences for marginalized folks. Our work is rooted in a love for Black people, a radical understanding of the Diaspora, and the possibilities we hope to build with them.

We offer this space to our Baltimore community as the first of many celebrations of our beloved city and all of us. Everyone is invited to bring seeds, cuttings, and water props from their collection to swap with friends, old and new. Feel free to bring a blanket, champagne, and other goodies, to trade with new friends and lovers at Whitelock Farm on 7/4/2021.

Funds will help us pay independent Black artists for their work, various supplies for the community, and COVID-19 PPE supplies.
