Passing of Jesse Hooper
Donation protected
Please consider donating to help the beautiful Hooper family pay for the funeral expenses of their 12-year-old son, Jesse, who passed away Saturday, July 16th. This will also help pay for any work missed or additional costs incurred so the family can take the time they need to grieve.
The Hoopers are our next-door neighbors, and to know Jesse was to know a unique, charismatic, curious young man who was always into everything. He always tried to understand how things worked and how to put them back together after he took them apart (and he always finished the job). When Jesse would be driving an RC car around, it consisted of wheels with wires hanging out of the lego base because he's taken apart and put it back together so many times.
Jesse had a presence that was bigger than he ever knew. Whether the first time you met him or the 100th time, he made such an impression and impact on everyone who came in contact with him.
If you do not know the Hoopers, they are the best neighbors one could ask for. Tony serves the community on the Elk River Fire Department. Kristi is a fun, energetic mom and genuine friend. She has a heart of gold and is always there for a funny story to brighten your day (most often about Jesse and his latest adventures).
And then there is Luke (15). Luke will be in 10th grade this year and is impressively responsible for his age. He has a summer job, and will begin his driver's education courses later this summer. Luke is sprouting into a wonderful young man, and losing his little brother and forever friend will be a huge obstacle for him to overcome.
This is the most challenging thing for one to write, so I'm keeping it short and sweet. Please consider donating to the best family undergoing the worst circumstance; any support will help.
