Passing of Racquel Marquez. Mom of 9.

Hi, my name is Jay and I'm fundraising on behalf of my aunt Racquel Marquez Salespara's 9 children/my cousins who she leaves behind at 45 years old.

On April 10, 2023, Racquel Salespara collapsed while at work in Toronto, Ontario. After rushing her to the hospital and numerous tests, Racquel suffered a brain aneurysm and this triggered a stroke. MRI scans showed that this caused immense damage to her brain. She was declared brain dead at 45 years old.

On April 11, 2023, her eldest children Verquel and Quelly had to witness the unfathomable. Racquel's life ended when she was removed from life support. Racquel was a devoted mother, a helpful sister, and a loving aunt and fun-loving friend. She will forever be remembered for her huge heart.

Racquel's husband Edwin predeceased her by 3 years.

As a devoted, loving mom and only parent left to her kids her sudden death is unexpected. She leaves behind her eldest children Quelly (25), Verquele (23), JR (20), R (17), Jurelle (15), Jhude (13), Jherwin (11), Jaryd (9) and Jairus (6 years old).

We ask for donations to support her children as they are now without any parents. Her eldest kids Quelly and Verquele are having to navigate the sudden death of their mother during this challenging time while caring for 6 of their younger siblings, one who just turned 6 years old.

As Racquel was the only parent supporting her children the donations will go towards day-to-day expenses (food for the kids, mortgage, any other house bills, cremation expenses, mental health counseling, legal fees to navigate legal- guardianships for her children as Racquel did not have a will in place, the children's personal needs and any remaining will go towards their education and any other expenses that may come due to the tragic loss of their mother. Our focus is on the well-being of her children and to ensure they have nothing else to worry about but dealing with this tragic loss of their mother.

We ask that everyone send their love, prayers and strength to Quelly, Verquel, JR, R, Jurelle, Jhude, Jherwin, Jaryd and Jarius as they go through this unfathomable loss and left to go through life without a parent.
