Hey fellow music lovers and audiophiles!
If you're here, it's probably because you watch my channel and you already know what I am aiming to achieve.
For many years now, I have been filming on a Sony A7R Mk3 camera which is a photography-first camera, not a video camera. It has a few major issues as a video camera:
- No fold-out screen so I can't see what's going on without adding an external display
- When you add an external display, the camera loses key autofocus functionality that means it often focuses on the wrong things!
- It's big which makes it less ideal for getting 'action shots' of me interacting with gear, walking around HiFi shows, etc.
So, I am trying to upgrade to the Sony ZV-E1 camera and the Sony ECM-M1 microphone for those times that I am out and about, producing content from a location where I don't have my normal studio mic available. In short, I am looking to upgrade the range of content and the quality of content I can produce for you and I'd love your help because it would take about 3 months to save up for this camera assuming I had no other expenses, but I do already have expenses to keep the channel running so, in reality, it would be more like 6-months away and I am keen to upgrade things sooner if you'll assist.
