Paston Farm Community Centre

This is a community centre that has so much potential yet has been unloved for too many years. The centre has been home to our multiple award winning boxing club 'Peterborough Police Boxing Club' (PPBC) for the past 11 years however, the community side of the centre has fallen short in the fight and the previous tenants have hung up their gloves having retired early!

PPBC is run by serving police officers and the success of our club and its boxers speaks volumes. We run the club as unpaid volunteers because we want to make a difference in the community. We will not see this community centre get sold off by the council so we are taking on the challenge to help get it on the right track and steer it in the right direction. We are up for this fight!

Paston and the surrounding area needs a community centre to bring people together. A centre that benefits everyone. Together we create resilience and a supportive community. The benefits of this are endless - reduces stress, decreases loneliness, provides a sense of belonging. This centre will also provide essential resources to those in need and provide various services to promote health, education and social engagement. We want to provide a warm, safe place where people can be fed and get the support they need.

It's amazing what space this place has and it would be devastating to lose a facility like this. A place that holds childhood memories for many locals and can provide many more.

Your support is needed so that we can give the building an uplift. We desperately need some new flooring, decor, doors etc. Unfortunately, the building is very tired and neglected and needs some love. If we don't make this a useable centre, we will lose it. A knockout is not happening!
