Pastor's Covid Complications Extend Recovery Time

Pastor Schultz's recovery from Covid is ongoing due to his many complications. Donna has been out of the hospital for a few weeks but her mother Roberta passed away the day after being moved to a hospice facility. Pastor Ken & Donna Schultz as well as Donna’s mother, Roberta Koenig, are all hospitalized with Covid-caused pneumonia. Pastor has been in the hospital since September 22nd; Donna and Roberta since September 25th. Pastor and Donna are both on oxygen at this time. Roberta hasn't needed oxygen and is being kept as comfortable as possible at this time.

 

Pastor Schultz has faithfully pastored a small country church in western South Dakota for nearly twenty years. Because of the size of the church, Pastor Schultz must be bi-vocational. He has not been able to work for over two weeks now and it remains to be seen if he will be able to go back to that work or even how soon. He has been a flooring installer for many years and because of increasing physical limitations he has been finding it more difficult to do that work. He tried flooring sales for a time, but that restricted his time too much and hindered his pastoral calling.

 

Additionally, they take complete care of Donna’s mother (Grandma Koenig). They need effectual and fervent prayer for complete healing! But they also NEED financial help! They have only the small income the church is able to provide … they NEED us!

 

Would you please not just pray? Would you pray and give if you can? They have been a blessing to so many of God’s people (especially missionaries) for so many years. Pastor Schultz has laid flooring for several church plants in South Dakota as well as others free of charge! It’s our turn to be a blessing to them. For those who know missionaries Seth & Kaitlin Folkers, this is their pastor and pastor’s wife. Please pray and please give!!

 

It my seem like we are asking for a lot, however, Pastor needs as much time as he can to fully recover from this awful virus. We also know that we have an awesome God Who is able and willing to provide in a big way if we but ask him!!
