Pastor Dale and Pastor Jeanne's Vacation

This is to inform you about a campaign we are about to embark on.

Our Pastors, Dale and Jeanne, are very dedicated to the work of ministry at Open Door Worship Center. Many people think that ministry only equates to a few hours each week. However, this couldn't be further from the truth.

Pastor Dale receives a salary from Open Door Worship Center, however Pastor Jeanne does not. She is however, very active in ministry and selflessly inserts her talents in many areas pertaining to ministry for ODWC despite the fact she is not compensated monetarily for what she does.

Just one of the many things that Pastor Jeanne has done is teach the School of the Prophets course which is an accredited college course that normally takes 4 years to complete in a college setting. She completed the course in less than 2 years and has since taught the course in that same time frame to members of the ODWC congregation.

Pastor Dale has been faithfully serving the many families that have attended ODWC over the past 29 years.

Many people have benefitted from Pastor Dale's in-depth knowledge of the Word of God each Sunday and weekly Bible Studies. Just as many, if not more, have experienced Biblically based personal ministry in many forms including personal advice pertaining to personal matters from Pastor Dale and Pastor Jeanne.

Ministry is a 24/7 endeavor, and it isn't something that you can just switch on and off - any salary that is paid for ministry doesn't usually reflect the true value of what those in ministry put forth - and I believe that it is the case with Pastor Dale and Pastor Jeanne.

Next year, 2024, will mark a couple of very important milestones for our Pastors. 2024 will mark 30 years that Pastor Dale has blessed the community of Fennville as Lead Pastor at ODWC. 2024 will also mark 10 years that Pastor Jeanne has been alongside Pastor Dale in ministry as well as marriage.

Therefore, we would like to bless our Pastors with an all-expense paid vacation to Florida in February 2024. This will be a 2-week vacation where they will not only be able to unwind and rejuvenate, but also feel the value that we and appreciate all that they do on a weekly basis for each one of us.

We are looking to raise approximately $6500. That amount would provide the funds for an all-expense paid 2-week vacation - after all they have done for us over the years, I think this a very obtainable amount if each of us commit to faithfully contributing as often as we can until we reach our entire goal of $6500!

Please be aware that this is a LOVE OFFERING/DONATION to our Pastors. There will be no tax forms handed out for any amount contributed towards this fundraiser as it is a personal donation to Pastor Dale and Pastor Jeanne personally.
