Pastor Deborah Galey and Family House Fire Relief

Donation protected
On Saturday, January 12, Pastor Deb Galey and her family, Husband Doug and Daughter Elizabeth, arrived home to their house on fire. Luckily no one was in the house when the fire started and all pets were free of the home, thank the Lord!

The fire completely consumed Elizabeth's room and all of her possessions. There was extensive fire, smoke and water damage to the living room and the master bedroom. The entire house is smoke and water damaged beyond repair. The house is not livable. They also lost all food supply and most of their personal possessions.

Due to the extensive fire and water damage inside this old house it has been deemed a TOTAL LOSS. With the house being deemed a total loss and with the Insurance companies policy they will only have living expense provided for one month! The Galey family is currently renting a house to stay in in Sedalia until decisions can be finalized about the house. As of now it is uncertain how long they will have to rent a house before they can finalize plans about their house and their future. This is the time for the local community to come together and support the good deeds of a loving and much deserving family!

Pastor Deb is a strong pillar of the Smithton Community. She is the Pastor for Pleasant Hill UMC and New Bethel Church UMC and one of the Chaplains for the Sedalia Police Department. Deb is also on the Smithton Fire Department Board. When Deb is not supporting the community and helping others in need, she creates works of art out of Polymer Clay. Deb and Liz take her Polymer Clay jewelry and attend craft shows in the local area. Elizabeth also works at Fitters in Sedalia and is very involved in helping her mother with Church duties. Elizabeth is also a huge sports fan and supporter of STL Cardinals and The Chiefs! Doug is the husband of Deb and works at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Sedalia. Doug also is a huge fan of the STL Cardinals and collects and sells STL Cardinal Memorabilia. He has an extensive collection of baseball cards that were in the fire.

Any amount that you can give, no matter how small or how big, will be a huge blessing for this family. Deb, Liz and Doug are always helping and guiding other souls, its our turn to show our appreciation and support during their time of need.

God Bless each and every one of you for your help! Please share this page for continued support!
