Pastor Jerome of Coit CRC: Needs Lung Transplant

Hi my name is Kena Lee, I am a member of Coit Community Church and our pastor, Pastor Jerome was taken to ER last Thursday because he was struggling to breathe. He was diagnosed with Fibrosis of the lungs but was receiving treatments, and he was still working and being active. Five days before being taken to ER he was working with two groups of middle schoolers teaching them how to build flower boxes. Last Thursday he couldn't catch his breath so they went to ER, the next morning it was decided that he needed to go on a ventilator because the oxygen they had him on even at 100% was not enough for his lungs. Pastor Jerome is extremely involved in his community and has impacted lives around the city. He has been our Pastor for almost 30 years and is still very young at 66 next week. His wife Kristin has left work to be with him at the hospital, caring for him, ministering to him, and trusting Yahweh God. And because she recently transitioned into a new job just a few months ago so she's not eligible for FMLA, and she may lose her job. Sister Kristin has been the creator of Go Fund Me Pages for others that have had great needs, but now it's time for her to focus on her husband. Pastor Jerome has been in ICU for 9 days now and has gone from sedation and paralytic coming off for two days like yesterday, and then back on sedation and paralytics because his lungs are struggling. This is an extremely difficult time; The waiting, the unknown.

Pastor Jerome and Kristin never had biological children, so they don't have 40-year-old children that can jump in and help manage things at home, finances, and all the other things that need to be done even during a time like this. This is a humble man, never wanting recognition, never wanting praise, everything he does is for the Gospel of Jesus, Yahweh God's glory, and for the church families he has pastored. Thank you Lord for such a beautiful person, we ask that You Lord would use your church, and your extended church family across the world to help this family with medical expenses, and daily living expenses, and more than that, HEAL YOUR SERVANT JEROME BURTON, HEAL HIS LUNGS, CAUSE HIS BODY TO WORK IN PERFECT CONCERT, PERFECT HARMONY WITH THE VENTILATOR AND THEN HIS OWN BODY.
