Pastor Mike Houck's 30 Years in Ministry

This September will be Pastor Mike's 24th year serving as head pastor at Lamson Road Community Church. 2023 will mark his 30 year anniversary of working in ministry!

 

As many of you have witnessed, over the last 30 years he has given his body, soul, and mind to those in need, never asking for anything in return - and often receiving less.

 

There have been many scenarios in which he has chosen to put aside his own needs and desires in the interest of serving others.

 

Mike isn't one to seek recognition and praise, and big celebrations aren't his thing. He does, however, love spending quiet time in the outdoors - be it hunting, farming, or fishing. It's these times when he says he is able to best connect with God and find rest.

 

We know that there are many people near and far who have benefited from the generosity and faithfulness of our dad, and who would love the opportunity to express their appreciation to him.

 

This year, Mike has been presented with an opportunity to go on a guided elk hunt in Colorado. This is a life-long dream of his, but one he doesn’t see as a possibility due to a lack of finances.

 

Our family would love to make this dream a reality for him. If you have at all been blessed by Pastor Mike's ministry and generosity, we are providing an opportunity to contribute toward this trip as a surprise gift to him.
