Pat & Patrice Smith’s Medical/Rent Fund

Doação protegida
On September 6th, Pat was seriously injured in a powered paragliding accident. During his first lesson with an instructor, he pulled the cord and the next thing he recalls is a forceful throw and landing on the ground not sure of what had happened. Pat’s right (dominate) hand was feeling weird and it was at this moment, Pat determined he had put out his hand to shield himself. Because of this, Pat’s fingers were severed, and the top part of his hand was filleted. Pat underwent emergency surgery at UW Hospital to have three fingers and part of his thumb amputated and had to have the tendons on the top of his hand repaired. Pat has since been home recuperating and going to his OT appointments.  His surgeon told him he is healing and making progress, but he is still unable to return to work and his short-term disability has run out.  Although he was given a release to return to work on light duty, the company does not have anything available for him to do.  At this time, it is looking unlikely that he will be able to return to his job as a press operator for a local printing company. To take some of the stress off Pat’s wife, I would love to raise enough money to cover their rent and some of the medical bills until Pat is able to reassess his work future and find potential work.

I hope you will prayerfully consider donating to this deserving couple.
